Supply Specialist Job Description: Provides supply related and provisioning support for the US Navy systems. Tasks include Cataloguing system parts and assembly’s components with the appropriate Navy supply codes (SM&R, ERRC), development of parts lists (APLs and AELs), and documentation submission to the Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS). Analyses technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Supply Specialist Required Skills: · Experience with Sparing and DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Procedures: Demand and Supply Planning. · Experience working with an ILS Team. · Supply related data mining. · Experience with onboard Repair Parts Lists for all flavors of Naval boats and submarines. · Ability to interpret and use Systems Performance and System Design Specifications, Hardware / Firmware / Software design documents, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). · Ability to interpret and use Level of Repair Analyses (LORA), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), FRACAS, and Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) data. · Possess understanding and utilization of Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SM&R) coding, Provisioning Technical Documentation, and Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS). · Possess understanding of the US Navy Provisioning Technical Documentation and logistics lifecycle process. Supply Specialist Highly Desirable Skills: · Experience with the US Navy supply and ILS certification processes. · Possess a DAU Life Cycle Logistics level 1 certification. · Possess working knowledge of Maintenance and Repair analysis, Diminished Manufacturing Sources (DMS), and COTS obsolescence. · Previous experience with submarine systems and subsystems. Supply Specialist Additional Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience and three years’ professional experience. · Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. · Occasional travel may be required.
