Summary

Please Note:  This position is open to Shareholders and Shareholder Descendants only. 

The Pathway program is based out of Anchorage, Alaska. Participants will perform tasks including fielding telephone calls, receiving, and directing visitors, and other administrative/clerical duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of callers, and transfers calls to appropriate personnel or departments. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, announces visitors to appropriate staff members, directs them to sign-in, and assign visitor badge.
  • Provides general information in response to inquiries about Ahtna, its mission, activities, or personnel.
  • Organizes and maintains the reception area so as to present a neat and efficient appearance.
  • Assures that Ahtna marketing materials and other informational literature are current and available for visitors and members.
  • Attend trainings/presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ahtna shareholder or descendent.
  • Junior or Senior high school students.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Enrolled in high school and a Passing GPA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

Work performed in a professional office setting utilizing telephone, computer, and other office equipment.
