Receives, stores, and distributes all items for the Pharmacy Department.
Receives materials from vendors per the LPO issued and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
Ensures that all cold store items are issued immediately on arrival against a goods-issued note.
Checks all delivered items for expiry and batch before acceptance.
Ensures labelling of medication according to pharmacy guidelines for High alert medication, LASA medication, oncology, and any other special requirements according to pharmacy policies
Ensures barcoding of medication received as required.
Receives requests from American Hospital Dubai and Satellite Clinics and replenishes stocks to the wards according to schedule promptly and according to pharmacy policies.
Ensures appropriate communication with American Hospital Dubai's departments regarding stock replenishment, expiry replacement, and any other additional concerns.
Notifies the supervisor if excess quantity is to be issued as per Department request.
Ensures that all items received are correct in quantity and that the items are checked for details by the staff.
Participates in cycle counts as advised by supervisor.
Participates in yearly inventory count for all American Hospital Dubai's departments including pharmacy.
Reviews the designated monthly expiry.
Keeps all paperwork on receipt of materials safely and makes entries in the system on the same day.
Notes down batch numbers and expiry date details on delivery notes or invoices wherever required.
Ensures that medication is stored on the shelves in a manner whereby they can be issued on a first-in-first-out (FIFO) basis.
Adheres to pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy store area.
Follows safety protocols and procedures for handling medications.
Diploma in Business Management or related field
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in receiving and distribution of Medical Supplies.
