We are looking for an experienced Team Lead and drive high quality, industry-relevant research for the implementation of machine learning and signal processing algorithms and associated electronic sensor solutions.
Lead a diverse team of 8–10 scientists within the Embedded Artificial Intelligence group of the Intelligent Wireless Systems Division, focusing on machine learning and signal processing across various domains and applications.
Shape the research agenda and project portfolio in collaboration with team members, peers, and the Head of Research Unit
Drive innovative solutions through effective team leadership and expert coordination. .
Manage resource planning and allocation for the research team
Acquisition and leading of research projects with various industrial and academic partners, as well as proposals for national and international funding.
Working in research projects and support the team with long-term experience in relevant fields
Supervising the team to generate high quality research outputs, scientific excellence and economic impact.
Close cooperation and support of academic and industrial project partners in collaborative research projects.
Supervision of BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
Publication and presentation of research results in scientific journals, international conferences, international summits, scientific committees and relevant events.
PhD in in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Physics, Computer Engineering or related fields with a specialization in digital IC design for machine learning or signal processing applications.
At least 6 years of practical experience in one or more of the above areas.
Proven track record of at least 3 years of team leadership experience in industry or research.
Social abilities to inspire, develop and motivate young scientists and researchers to perform at their best.
Well organized and enjoys working in a dynamic and multicultural team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. German is an advantage.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) in occupational group G (G1 salary = EUR 5.546, paid 14 times a year). Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications.
