At Weights & Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Starting with our first experiment tracking product, we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications.
Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. We proudly serve over 1,000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this Staff Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the future of W&B Registry offering. With a focus on user experience, quality, and speed, they will drive the day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year evolution of the platform used by over 2,500 of the world’s most advanced ML and AI teams.

What You’ll Achieve (Responsibilities):

  • Steer W&B’s Registry, artifacts, and automations features, which power critical workflows at leading tech companies.
  • Meet with our most advanced customers to learn their workflows and identify breakthrough improvements.
  • Relentlessly find and resolve friction points in the user experience, maintaining W&B’s high bar for craft and quality.
  • Look into the future of pretraining, fine-tuning, agentic applications, and inference workflows to shape W&B’s product direction.
  • Analyze interviews, usage data, and market behavior to rank product opportunities.
  • Communicate product releases back to the market to drive adoption and discovery.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements):

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including working on products for technical users at enterprise companies.
  • Experience managing or influencing machine learning engineers, software engineers, model validators, or other stakeholders—whether or not you have direct managerial authority. You understand what putting a model into production looks like.
  • Clear communication and strong organizational skills; able to gather feedback from multiple sources and synthesize it into clear, actionable priorities.
  • Care and taste about the products you use.
  • Curiosity about modern deep learning and large language models (LLMs), with a passion to see them impact the economy and daily life. You’ll be indirectly powering the deployment of these technologies by Global 2000 enterprises.

Core Skills

  • Experience using Weights & Biases, or working closely with ML engineers who do. Familiarity with our product and a desire to make it better.
  • Outgoing and friendly attitude; you’ll enjoy connecting with real users day to day, helping solve issues and promoting good usage patterns.
  • Self-directed and willing to take risks. At our speed and scale, product managers proactively identify solutions, improve processes, and collaborate with team members and engaged users. Your initiative will shine in this role.
  • Hands-on experimentation with generative AI to improve workflows.

Why Join Us?

  • Top-tier machine learning teams rely on our tools for their daily work at companies including OpenAI, Toyota Research Institute, Lyft, Samsung, and Pandora.
  • You'll never stop learning—this role offers first-hand experience talking with leading researchers, understanding their challenges, and directly shaping product direction.
  • Our experienced founding team has successfully built and sold ML tools at Figure Eight. Their deep industry knowledge, empathy for users, and strong management are driving W&B’s success.
  • Customers genuinely benefit from our tools. Wojciech Zaremba, Cofounder and Robotics Lead at OpenAI, says: “W&B allows us to scale up insights from a single researcher to the entire team, and from a single machine to hundreds of them.”
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't perfectly align with the job description as we seek out diverse and creative perspectives. Team members who love to learn and collaborate in an inclusive environment will flourish with us. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
