Job Description:The Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering will lead a team responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling manufacturing processes for aerospace production. This role requires strong technical expertise in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and automation, with a focus on increasing efficiency, quality, and throughput. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes. Additionally, they will drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentor engineers, and support the strategic growth of the manufacturing organization.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers to develop, optimize, and scale production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to implement new technologies and processes.
- Oversee automation and advanced manufacturing techniques to improve throughput and quality and reduce waste.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards while supporting strategic company goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing environments, in a fast-paced rapid growth environment.
- Experience implementing substantial improvement to a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Background in aerospace manufacturing, composites, or precision machining.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of implementing new manufacturing technologies.
