Job Title: Sr. AccountantJob Location: San Jose, CAJob ID: AI2357Job Description:SiMa.ai is looking for an experienced senior accountant to own the general accounting function that includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, US payroll processing, inventory tracking, and financial statements consolidations. This position will be also responsible for the monthly and quarterly close activities and manage the validation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, analyze data, and prepare reports for auditors and management. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy, hands-on individual that can work independently.This is an individual contributor/specialist role that will require working in the Company’s San Jose, CA office.Responsibilities
Own a wide range of day-to-day accounting activities related to general accounting such as recording and paying vendor bills, customer invoicing, inventory tracking, intercompany accounting and full cycle month-end close and financial reporting
Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations
Evaluate, develop, and improve processes to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Own tax compliance and reporting such as property tax returns, sales & use tax returns
Process semi-monthly US payroll via Trinet (PEO)
Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders, international accountants, external auditors and tax advisors to achieve reporting and compliance requirements
Ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
7+ years’ experience in private and public accounting; industry experience at a tech company and CPA a plus
Experience in Quickbooks, Netsuite is a plus.
Self-starter, excellent problem solver, flexible, resourceful, process driven with a high degree of integrity and work ethics
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data
Advanced excel skills and system savvy. System implementation a plus.
Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
Knowledge of GAAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently, yet cooperatively in a team environment

Good communication skills. The annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 - $155,000. The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
