We're seeking talented individuals to join our Professional Services team to help our customers migrate from Splunk to OpenObserve. Job Summary: ​ We're looking for a Splunk Migration Specialist to join our team, responsible for migrating customers from Splunk to OpenObserve. As a Splunk Migration Specialist, you will work closely with customers to understand their existing Splunk infrastructure, develop migration strategies, and execute the migration process. You will utilize your expertise in SPL and SQL to ensure seamless data transition and optimal performance on the OpenObserve platform. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to understand their current Splunk environment, identify requirements, and develop migration plans
Design and implement data migration strategies to transition customers from Splunk to OpenObserve
Develop and execute SPL and SQL scripts to migrate queries, dashboards and alerts to OpenObserve
Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, ensuring data integrity and quality
Work closely with the OpenObserve product team to identify and prioritize product enhancements
Develop and maintain technical documentation for migration processes and best practices
Provide training and support to customers on OpenObserve features and functionality
Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to improve the team's expertise and efficiency
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in professional services or consulting
Expert-level proficiency in SPL (Splunk Processing Language) and SQL
Experience with monitoring applications and infrastructure
Experience with building advanced dashboards and alerts.
Strong understanding of data structures, data governance, and data quality
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Nice to Have:
Experience with OpenObserve or similar observability platforms
Knowledge of cloud-based technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Certification in Splunk or related technologies
