Description

As a Solution Architect at Windward you will be responsible for obtaining an in-depth understanding of how the Windward system works (to the level of platform/application) as well as an in-depth understanding of how the customer system works. You will support the customer in implementing our solution and act as the first point of contact for any technical and implementation issues. In order to achieve this the solution engineer will regularly interact with both internal and external technical stakeholders such as IT, Software Engineers Devops etc. and solution expert managers (SEM).

You will be required to travel to the customer's site at least 40% of your time. 

This position will be based in our Washington D.C. office.

 What will you do?

  • Write the statement of work (SOW) for functional and nonfunctional requirement until the customer goes live 
  • Provide implementation guidance on best practices, error handling and troubleshooting 
  • Design implementation architecture and data flow for integration with customer 
  • You will have a chance to take part in supporting and building one of the first Gen AI LLM-based enterprise-grade products in the supply chain and trading and shipping markets.
  • Support our solution at the customer site and remote - working closely with the Customer success, sales and product team.
  • Work with our Windward’s AI product team to improve accuracy and make sure our deliverables to the customer are of high quality, flag any discrepancies between the data and the AI model’s 
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and developers
  • Support Solution Experts in the sales process and Customer success post-sale

Requirements

Who are you?

  • 3+ years of experience in delivery, field support engineering / solution architecture
  • Fast learner with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work hands-on independently and manage engagement with counterparts in customer organisations
  • B.A in a technical discipline computer science, industrial engineering, information technology.
  • Knowledge in ocean freight and supply chain - advantage
  • Familiarity with AI and data analytics tools and API’s such as PowerBI - advantage 
  • Experience working in a global company - advantage
