Edge & Application Networking Automation team designs and develops automation frameworks, efficiency improvement tools, and complex automation libraries using Python for teams working on Akamai Delivery, Web, Origin Services, and Edge Computing products.

Ensure world class Delivery performance

You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment. Working with developers and QA teams you will become an expert in system-wide automation infrastructure. You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and enhancing the automation frameworks used by the Product testing and development teams
• Collaborating closely with Product stakeholders in creating the automation infrastructure to replicate real world scenarios
• Reviewing product & system design requirements to come up with efficient automation frameworks or libraries
• Evangelising the automation frameworks and tools across Akamai

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent experience. And 2+ year of work experience
• Have experience in developing full-stack applications in Python, and JavaScript. And exposure to Container technologies like Dockers
• Have knowledge of SDLC, contemporary QA/test principles, methodologies, and techniques - white box testing and test automation
• Have Understanding of SDLC, QA/test principles, methodologies, techniques with regards to white box testing and test automation
• Have Experience using GIT and/or Perforce for version control
• Have exposure or interest in working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
