Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with analytical chemists to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Port the existing solution from Visual Basic to .Net, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and enhanced functionality, and develop a web front end for an intuitive user interface.
• Work directly with analytical chemists to gather data, identify patterns, and create machine learning models that enhance the solution's capabilities.
• Implement machine learning algorithms, evaluate their performance, and optimize them for accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and develop data pipelines to preprocess, clean, and transform data for use in machine learning models, and conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure software reliability and stability.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and software development technologies, actively contributing to the team's knowledge sharing and growth.

You bring

• Proven experience in software development, including expertise in the .Net framework and languages such as C# or VB.Net, and proficiency in porting legacy solutions from Visual Basic to .Net.
• Background in machine learning, with hands-on experience in developing and implementing machine learning models, and familiarity with data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
• Experience in developing web front ends using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with analytical chemists and other cross-functional team members.
• Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
