Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Site Reliability Engineer II. Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on the Akamai Platform. Analyzing and improving the security, stability, speed, and capacity of Akamai’s network. Automating new cloud service deployments. Monitoring and troubleshooting Akamai cloud services to ensure SLA is met and adequate capacity is available. Analyzing logs and events from the cloud service and providing recommendations to ensure smooth service operation. Utilize and apply knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure; deployment/configuration management tools; load balancers or proxies; analytics tools; and web technologies. Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Applied & Computational Mathematics, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Linux, Ansible, Python, Apache, mySQL, PHP, and system and network troubleshooting.
Compensation:
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $122574 - $174200/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
