About the roleWe’re looking for a Sensor Technician who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty and take pride in their work. In this role, you’ll be building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and shipping sensors that keep our infrastructure running smoothly. You’ll be the backbone of our operation, making sure our tech works in the real world—not just in the lab.If you’re someone who knows the value of a hard day’s work and takes pride in being a part of something bigger, we want you on our team. Responsibilities

  • Build and test the sensors we use to collect data (electrical and mechanical assembly)
  • Perform electrical and mechanical verification and release tests on the sensors
  • Manage the internal shipping operations of sending sensors to our nationwide customers
  • Assist customers with the use and maintenance of sensors
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving sensor errors

Required skills

  • Experience building and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with electrical diagnostics
  • Experience with electrical assembly such as simple cable creation
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts
  • Experience interacting with customers
  • Ability to explain and troubleshoot technical devices to non-technical people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with most common hand and power tools
  • Experience with most common electrical tools such as DVMs, OBD-II readers, and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Passionate about technology and innovation

Nice to have

  • Experience using CAD software to aid in the assembly process
  • Experience with cloud-based resource/asset management and planning software (ie, Rentman)
