About the roleAs a Senior Software Developer at Cyvl, you will be instrumental in designing and developing robust, scalable systems that are essential to our current and future products. You will collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers, contributing your expertise to define the best approaches for new initiatives while independently addressing complex technical challenges with support from your peers.
In this position, you will leverage your advanced skills in Python, along with your experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, to build and manage modern applications. You will also utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, particularly with tools like Terraform, to ensure our systems are deployed efficiently within AWS and EKS environments. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our products, making this an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and influence the direction of our technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain high-quality and scalable systems
• Work with team to determine methods and procedures to accomplish new initiatives
• Coordinate activities with other team members
• Tackle issues autonomously with technical review from other team members
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the team

Required skills

• 5+ Years of professional programming experience
• Expert in modern Python, experience using modern Python language features and tooling like Poetry
• Experienced with development of containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform
• Experience with Github Actions for CI / CD pipelines
• Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS and EKS

Nice to have

• Experience with ELT pipelines and data lakehouses
• Experience implementing integration and end-to-end tests
• Experience with the Go programming language
• Experience supporting ML development activities with infrastructure and software
• Experience with cost-optimization for cloud stacks in AWS
