We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Staff Data Scientist  to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will lead high-impact analytical projects and guide strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. In this role, you will build predictive models, lead experiments, and work with our Customer Success team, data engineering team, and customers to ensure data science initiatives meet key business goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, solve complex problems, and contribute to the success of our data science projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Client Collaboration: Engage closely with customers to understand their unique data requirements, challenges, and goals. Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, providing data science insights to customer success teams to guide solution development. Lead customer-facing discussions to shape data-driven strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-impact, scalable solutions.
  • Business Acumen: Apply a strong understanding of industry trends, business needs, and customer insights to identify opportunities for data-driven innovations that can drive business outcomes.
  • Model Development: Design, build, and deploy machine learning models (predictive, classification, regression, recommendation, optimization) using Google Cloud tools. Collaborate with data engineering teams to create scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment.
  • Data Solution Design: Translate complex business needs into actionable data science solutions, including analytical dashboards and operational data flows that meet the demands of diverse and evolving user bases. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven solutions into existing business processes and applications.
  • Problem Solving: Approach complex, ambiguous data-related challenges with creativity, analytical rigor, and a solutions-focused mindset. Identify opportunities for simplification, process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, machine learning, and AI. Share knowledge with internal teams and the wider community, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or proven experience in data science, dashboard development, or a related role)
  • 8+ years related experience (including 5+ years of experience in a data science or advanced analytics role, with a track record of delivering business value
  • Experience with data visualization tools ( Looker Studio, Tableau etc) to develop dashboards and reports.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and machine learning algorithms (supervised/unsupervised).
  • Proficiency in database systems such as MySQL and BigQuery.
  • Strong SQL programming skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on new and challenging data problems. 
  • Exceptional communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Vertex AI or Google’s machine learning ecosystem for developing, deploying, and managing predictive models at scale.
  • Preferred: Experience with AI echo system, data management, ETL processes, and data movement techniques in Google Cloud infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Experience with Python for data manipulation, scripting, or automation.
