Role

Protect AI is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our growing Engineering team. Our engineering team builds and operates the 'Protect AI Platform', covering everything from AI supply chain security and ML Model Scanning to LLM Security. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive the development of our cutting-edge products. You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and our CTO to ensure the successful delivery of our platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their growth and success

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Architects, to understand requirements and develop effective solutions

  • Drive the development and implementation of best DevSecOps practices in software engineering including but not limited to measuring and improving DORA metrics

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and experimentation within your team

  • Actively contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of the Protect AI Platform

  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders

  • Manage the performance and professional development of your team members, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience (6+ years) in software engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in a management role

  • Strong technical background in cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes

  • Expertise in modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, TypeScript

  • Experience with DevSecOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CDK/CloudFormation

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Experience with ML/MLOps and AppSec is a plus

  • Excited about working in an agile and fast-paced environment
