Latitude AI (lat.ai) is an automated driving technology company developing a hands-free, eyes-off driver assist system for next-generation Ford vehicles at scale. We’re driven by the opportunity to reimagine what it’s like to drive and make travel safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone.

When you join the Latitude team, you’ll work alongside leading experts across machine learning and robotics, cloud platforms, mapping, sensors and compute systems, test operations, systems and safety engineering – all dedicated to making a real, positive impact on the driving experience for millions of people.

As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, we operate independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed of a technology startup. Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif.

Meet the team:

The development and safe operation of self-driving vehicles depends on effective platforms for large scale data processing and generation across many domains. The Machine Learning Platform team is responsible for several cloud-based products and services that provide convenient business process orchestration, machine learning training, and large scale data management capabilities for our internal customers.

We provide critical services for dataset generation as well as executing machine learning training and experiments, including workflow automation, large scale data storage, and a centralized service for executing, monitoring, and tracking the history of machine learning experiments in a distributed high performance computing environment. We also automate workflows for building high definition mapping data, annotating vehicle sensor data for machine learning datasets, and triaging events from vehicle tests through orchestration of human-in-the-loop processes. We work with customer teams to model business processes and integrate their custom web applications and microservices for building domain-specific datasets. We implement frontend web applications for management of workloads in all of our systems

We are seeking experienced candidates who thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment, enjoy being a part of a distributed team, and can transform ideas into new features.
