The Tools and Automation team builds solutions to monitor and manage Akamai's global edge platform, empowering engineering teams to enhance performance and reliability through collaboration and continuous improvement.

Achieve high-impact milestones contributing to our success

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer II, you will design, develop, test, and integrate features into Akamai's network orchestration and automation systems. You'll work with a diverse team to build tools that support operations, performance, and reliability teams. Your work will boost efficiency, reliability, and performance to exceed customer expectations.

As a Senior Software Engineer II Lead, you will be responsible for

• Developing Python Application.
• Working with highly motivated stakeholders on appropriate features and fixes that improve performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
• Creating and enhancing new features and functionality, including conception, design, development, testing and deployment
• Collaborating across teams and stakeholders in different time zones to integrate and deliver the features on time

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in CSE or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate wide experience in writing code in Python
• Demonstrate experience with other programming languages such as: Python, Perl, Ruby
• Have experience with databases like PostgreSQL and systems like Siebel.
• Have experience using and contributing to common and shared code.
• Enjoy working with Linux and command line tools.
