Purpose
This role transforms requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
Key Missions
Uses programming, scripting and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and that optimizes software performances
Identifies existing software components, libraries and frameworks to reuse in the solutions
Applies knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Contributes to requirement (functional and non-functional) analysis and estimations
Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
Builds up software structure including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing code comments, layouts, diagrams and chartsContributes to Software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.)
Codes large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline and cost
Performs design and code reviews and assess software performance optimization
Contributes and promotes the organization's technical governance
Produce quotations
Performs complex troubleshooting
Coaches and can manage a small team of Software Development Engineers

Job Summary
We’re seeking a Senior Developer to join our innovation team, helping to design, prototype, and evaluate current and emerging technologies for border control and management. You’ll lead development efforts, assess existing systems, and help shape next-gen solutions using tools like AI, biometrics, and IoT.
Responsibilities
- Design and build software for identity management, surveillance, and access control.
- Evaluate current systems and identify modernization opportunities.
- Prototype solutions using AI/ML, biometrics, and real-time sensor data.
- Collaborate across disciplines to integrate secure, scalable systems.
- Stay informed on industry standards and technology trends.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and system design.
- Skilled in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container tech.
- Strong understanding of secure, scalable system architecture.
Preferred
- Experience with biometric tech (face, fingerprint, iris).
- Knowledge of border control protocols (e.g., ICAO, IATA).
- Background in AI, computer vision, or real-time systems.
- Experience in government, defense, or compliance-heavy environments.
