We are responsible for monitoring and measuring the reliability of our suite of Compute products and platform. We collaborate with Engineering and Product teams. We focus on improving the performance and reliability of the products we support.

Partner with the best

You'll do statistical data analysis, understand networking protocols to diagnose, solve Internet's most difficult content delivery/cloud challenges. You work with cross-functional teams to understand and benchmark the performance of our key products and services.

As a Site Reliability Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Investigating and troubleshoot networking problems within Linux based networking stack
• Monitoring the functioning and performance of the networking infrastructure via Prometheus metric systems and Grafana dashboards
• Solving complex problems timely and accurate manner and avoid recurrence through proactive troubleshooting, automation, and systems programming
• Building software tools and systems to automate analytical tasks and workflows to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Leveraging skills in data analysis, network diagnostics and debugging tools to characterize performance and recommend improvements.
• Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have good experience and knowledge with L7 traffic management using technologies like envoy, haproxy, nginx
• Demonstrate experience with coding in one or more of the following languages (Python, Perl, R, Java, SQL)
• Have experience and knowledge with networking technologies such as routing, firewall and DNS
• Possess previous experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana, Loki, ELK, New Relic, or similar
• Have proficiency with a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Salt Stack, Chef, Puppet, Terraform or similar
• Have experience with Linux systems and tools such as netstats, traceroute, tcpdump
