Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated “Telecom AI Senior Research Engineer” to join a team of future shapers.

Job role

The successful candidate will coordinate research and innovation activities on AI-powered network service management and automation solutions focusing on data-driven and cloud-native technologies along the beyond-5G and 6G roadmap. As a research engineer, the candidate will work with a small team, while being versatile and independent, will tackle interesting research problems and will gain expertise in beyond the state-of-the-art AI, data analytics, Cloud Computing and networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate company’s participation in EU-funded collaborative projects.
• Collaborate with leading industrial and academic partners to drive innovative research outcomes on areas including AI/ML, Cloud/Edge Computing and Network automation.
• Lead System Architecture design and manage team of Research Engineers towards implementation of novel prototype solutions using cloud-native, data-driven technologies.
• Plan and coordinate participation in EU projects’ proposal preparation.
• Liaise with company’s product teams to align commercial solutions with research and innovation activities.

Requirements

• MSc (PhD preferred) in Electronic/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related technical field.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Programming experience in large software projects.
• Experience in collaborative research projects, technical proposal/deliverable writing in areas related to AI/ML, Data Analytics, Cloud/Edge Computing, 5G/6G.
• Excellent use of the English language.

• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork & problem solving skills.
• Fulfilled military obligations, where applicable.
  

Desired Skills

• Experience with modern ML/DL frameworks (Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Telecom services implementation or operation.
• Experience with Technical Management of research teams.
