The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Prompt Engineer to join our AI team. As a Prompt Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing prompts to effectively interact with AI models, ensuring accurate, reliable, and context-aware outputs. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, developers, and product teams to create solutions that align with our business goals.

This role is based out of our Palo Alto, CA office, and an Onsite interview is required as part of the process (with some flexibility to WFH).

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop effective prompts to achieve desired outputs from large language models (LLMs).
• Analyze AI responses and iterate on prompt designs to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and develop AI-driven solutions.
• Develop guidelines and best practices for prompt engineering.
• Research and stay updated on emerging trends in AI prompting and fine-tuning techniques.
• Evaluate model outputs and suggest improvements to AI training datasets.
• Document prompt strategies, experiments, and outcomes for knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in working with AI language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Claude).
• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with NLP and machine learning concepts.
• Experience fine-tuning large language models.
• Previous experience working in AI research or product development.
• Background in linguistics, cognitive science, or user experience design is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
