About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, multilingual data collection initiatives supporting AI model development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and has a strong background in managing global data collection, annotation, and delivery projects.

You will oversee the end-to-end execution of one or more complex, multi-phase programs involving talent recruitment, in-person and platform-based data collection (including audio recording, video recording, image capture, etc.), metadata tagging, and final data delivery across 20+ languages and dialects. At first, approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to one flagship project, with the remaining time focused on scoping new projects, developing samples and solutions, supporting strategic initiatives, and leading other data collection efforts across the organization. As more data collection projects are added, your scope will continue to increase until you own all data collection for one or more large customers.

This is a high-impact role that requires operational excellence, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of data quality and compliance in the AI space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of a global voice data collection project across 20+ languages and dialects.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of voice talents and facilitators, ensuring compliance with legal, linguistic, and demographic requirements.

  • Oversee a multi-week international production schedule, including travel logistics, studio coordination, and engineering support.

  • Ensure all recordings meet client specifications for tone, energy, and quality; manage re-recordings and feedback loops as needed.

  • Supervise post-production workflows including editing, transcription, and metadata tagging.

  • Track and manage multi-million dollar project budgets, including participant payments, travel reimbursements, and vendor fees.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring timely communication, milestone tracking, and delivery approvals.

  • Manage additional data collection projects across image, video, audio, text, and multimodal modalities, ensuring consistent quality and delivery standards.

  • Support new project scoping, sample creation, and solution design for future data collection initiatives.

  • Act as a strategic lead within the Data Collection org, helping to shape best practices, mentor junior PMs, and drive operational excellence across projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in AI data collection, localization, or media production.

  • Proven success managing large-scale, multilingual projects with global stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of data quality standards, annotation workflows, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work across time zones and cultures with sensitivity and professionalism.

  • Familiarity with tools like Airtable, Asana, or Smartsheet is a plus.
