Summary:

Senior Program Manager for Centralized PMO owning Fleet Management The Program Manager is responsible for supporting programs across departments at Torc to ensure successful delivery of program objectives. This role requires frequent engagement with stakeholders in various departments to align on the work and resolve or drive resolution of issues and risks. The role requires a high degree of skilled stakeholder engagement across all disciplines and levels of the organization, including frequent communication with leaders up to and including the C-suite. This role requires high judgement, capable of making independent decisions with little direction. This person should be a self-starter, curious, creative, solution-oriented, unafraid of ambiguity and able to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization to solve problems and drive clarity, learn and adapt from failure, and be motivated to tackle new topics and challenges.

The Senior Program Manager, Strategic Planning & Execution supports company-wide strategic efforts, including playing a pivotal role in building and executing on annual and long-term strategic plans. This position is crucial to the business’s ability to establish and execute its short, medium, and long-term plans in a highly innovative industry. Playing a key role in strategy formulation, this individual collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders, and leads coordination of cross-functional development and execution of business wide operational strategies. Success in this role demands a strong strategic and analytical orientation coupled with exceptional communication skills and a highly developed collaborative nature.


What you'll do:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: From Planning to Execution, responsible for supporting strategic planning efforts through a decentralized team of leaders across a matrixed environment in alignment with the corporate roadmap. Alongside the program management team, product management, and senior leadership, you drive the translation of strategic plans into enterprise aligned execution.
  • Program Management: Leads cross-functional teams to scope complex initiatives, across engineering, regulatory, operations, and safety.  Define goals and objectives that drive cross-functional teams to deliver on complex, highly-coupled initiatives.  Drive the organization to successfully achieve program objectives and measures of success.
  • Strategy Insights: Drives efforts to bring together crucial pieces of information such as competitor performance, customer insights, operational performance, business plans, innovation, gap assessments and market insights from various internal and external sources to develop strategic options. 
  • Analytics: Analyzes a wide variety of internal and external data to provide relevant, timely and meaningful insights to the business and key stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration: Plays a highly collaborative role and will routinely work with the business’s key stakeholders and leadership in developing and executing the Corporate Roadmap.

What you’ll need to Succeed:

  • Demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through BS+ 6+ years of experience, MS+ 3+ years of experience, or PHD 1+ years of experience.
  • Sufficient technical depth to lead project scoping, understand internal dependencies, conduct cost estimation on programs
  • Experienced with integrated scheduling and dependency mapping
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in written form.
  • Exceptionally good analytical skills, with an ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines, and demonstrate an ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Proven ability to establish and implement strategies and manage complex cross-functional projects.
  • Preferred: Experience in the automotive, safety-critical systems product development, or software industry.
