We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to drive successful roll out of our products that are used by the Kodiak Operations team. In this role you will shape the future of autonomous trucking by building the tools that empower real-time remote operations, fleet efficiency, and mission-critical logistics. You’ll lead the development of systems that directly enable our autonomous vehicles to operate safely, reliably, and at scale—impacting everything from commercial freight to national defense.
In this role, you will:
Be the directly responsible individual (DRI) for the full product lifecycle for your area of responsibility: from customer/user engagement, through requirements / design, development, testing, deployment and feedback.
Enable our operations team to maximize the efficiency of our fleet of self-driving vehicles through a suite of operational tools that enable remote fleet management, routing, monitoring, remote support, and troubleshooting.
Define & Implement:
Understand how Kodiak Operations perform their work with existing or new tools and conduct your own user research.
Work with operations and engineering teams to prioritize features.
Create concept of operations (CONOPS) / user journey documentation
Write requirements and user stories: validate with users, and collaborate with engineers to provide implementation detail.
Work closely with Kodiak engineering teams to drive consensus, and collaborate on design and implementation.
Prioritization and Planning:
Create and manage roadmaps to allow engineering and the operations team to understand feature availability.
As issues arise, prioritize these and balance against the planned work.
Rollout:
Work closely with Kodiak Operations and our customers to roll out new product features and gather feedback from the field.
Visit customer locations to gather detailed feedback from the field, and summarize and present to stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Kodiak Operations team to conduct product training.
Ensure tooling is being used successfully and correctly.
Travel required to customer locations, and Kodiak headquarters in Mountain View, CA.
What you'll bring:
5+ years experience as a Product Manager.
Demonstrated experience deploying complex products with operations teams
Ability to effectively collaborate with both engineering teams and external stakeholders.
Strong design sense, having prior experience working with user experience designers. Human factors experience is a plus.
Experience with web based operations tools, and remote monitoring systems.
Ideally experience with logistics operations (warehouse, trucking)
Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to and negotiating with senior stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this full-time position in Texas is $165,000-$190,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
