You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Lead foundational and strategic AI/ML initiatives that increase user retention and subscriber value, directly impacting core business metrics.
  • Launch AI/ML features at a quick cadence.
  • Collaborate with an exceptional engineering team with strengths across many AI areas.

  • Determine product priorities, set clear, measurable goals, and ensure the team meets deadlines, deliverables and strategic objectives.

You will be successful here by:

  • Leading by listening. You listen carefully to your Strava team members and also to users and their data. You set your direction based on what you hear.
  • Building for the user. You care about the user and always build with them in mind.
  • Offering clarity when encountering complexity. You can get to the heart of the matter quickly, and you share your insights openly.
  • Identifying the problem to solve. Once you've identified what needs to be achieved, you will relentlessly remind all players of that goal, so we can celebrate when we reach it.
  • Scoping projects wisely. You can draw strong boundaries to ensure the value delivered matches the investment required.
  • Fostering AI excellence and creativity. You cultivate the expertise we need to make Strava an industry leader in Fitness AI Technology.

We’re excited about you because:

  • You have proven yourself to be a skilled AI product manager, leading AI/ML product lifecycles, including model development, training, deployment, evaluation.
  • You have honed an outstanding ability to distill complex problems into actionable insights.
  • You are an exceptional communicator, at ease in technical, tactical, and strategic conversations. You can effectively articulate the relevance of technical AI/ML concepts for any audience.
  • You know data. You bring a sophisticated approach to data as it relates to AI training and product decision-making.
  • You are ambitious and driven, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and continuously improving.
  • You plan well. You predict edge cases and anticipate challenges. You know how to set up for success from the jump.
