Compensation package: €70,000 - €75,000 in yearly salary, €20,000 - €40,000 in equity. Additionally, up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits

As a Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will build and maintain a robust platform that drives efficient software delivery, leveraging state-of-the-art practices and tools.
In this role, you will directly impact Orbem’s core operations by enabling various teams, such as Data, Machine Learning, and Software, to perform at their best. You'll create a scalable and resilient infrastructure that facilitates their workflows while also maintaining Orbem’s complex production environment—a crucial element in solving some of the world's toughest challenges.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, pushing the boundaries of automation, security, and efficiency across the entire company.
On a typical day, you will:
Communicate with different teams to understand and bring their delivery and automation needs to life.
Manage and automate our cloud, on-prem, and edge infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
Ensure our Cloud services are available to our customers and our Edge devices.
Ensure the provision and operation of applications in the Cloud via DevSecOps and take responsibility for going live.
Enable suitable infrastructure to monitor our product reliably.
Improve CI/CD pipelines and tools to accelerate, automate, and optimize our software development processes.

Coding and tool knowledge
You know GCP inside out.
Terraform is a native language to you.
You have extensive Kubernetes knowledge.
You work fluently in Linux-based systems.
You are fluent in at least one programming language.
You have applied Continuous Delivery practices. Working with GitOps tools like ArgoCD is a plus.
GitLab CI/CD.
Technical expertise
You understand the development process and how to build scalable infrastructure.
You know how to build data pipelines or understand how data generally works.
You have experience in coding automation tools with Python, GoLang, or Typescript.
You know Terraform very well, and you prefer Terraform Cloud.
You understand how to build microservice architectures.
You have profound Cloud experience. AWS or GCP
Deep understanding of monitoring concepts and tools such as Prometheus and Grafna
You have made use of CI/CD tools to streamline your workflows
You are passionate and knowledgeable about network concepts, VPN tunnels, DNS, and routing.
You worked with logging systems such as Loki or Elasticsearch.
You think Kubernetes.
