We’re looking for a Sr People Ops Mgr based in London, United Kingdom, who will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our global HR strategy. You will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, payroll, and compliance across multiple regions. This hands-on role requires a strategic mindset coupled with operational expertise to drive HR excellence in a high-growth environment.

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

  • Global HR Management: Oversee and manage HR operations across the UK, Canada, and the USA, including payroll, benefits, immigration, and compliance. Ensure alignment with local regulations and best practices.

  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, handling day-to-day inquiries and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • HR Administration: Manage HR administration tasks including compensation, benefits, legal issues, HRIS (Rippling) management, employee surveys, career pathing, and policy updates.

  • Talent Management: Support employee onboarding, organize training and development initiatives, and assist with performance management and talent reviews.

  • Culture and Engagement: Drive a culture of continuous feedback and employee engagement. Conduct 90-day reviews, exit interviews, and work with managers to enhance job satisfaction and retention.

  • Recruitment and Employer Branding: Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment processes. Help build a strong employer brand and employee value proposition.

  • Event Coordination: Help plan and coordinate employee events and team bonding activities, ensuring regular engagement and team-building opportunities.

What we’re looking for (qualifications)

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a senior HR role in the UK. You have demonstrated experience managing HR functions in a global team.

  • Experience understanding and managing Canada and USA teams / employment practices and laws is necessary. 

  • Strong understanding of HR functions including talent management, employee relations, employment law, benefits administration, and performance management in a global context.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with a proactive, energetic, and entrepreneurial approach. Ability to operate independently and collaborate across diverse teams.

  • Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

  • Quick to learn new systems, processes, and procedures. Positive attitude and inquisitive nature, thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.
