Imagen Technologies is a high growth healthcare startup enabling patients to be diagnosed, treated, and managed at their primary care appointment (vs. having to refer out to hospitals, imaging centers, and other slow and expensive options). Today, we’ve built an AI-enabled platform that enables patients to receive immediate diagnostic tests, immediate results, and immediate next steps – all in a single Primary Care appointment. For example: through our platform, women across the U.S. are now receiving comprehensive breast imaging, results, and specialist-driven next steps at their local Primary Care office, condensing a multimonth diagnostic journey into 60 minutes.

With over $160m in funding from Google Ventures and some of the largest clinical networks in the country, we are rapidly expanding this platform across the U.S.  from 16 states and 500,000 patients in 2023, to 20+ states and 1.5M patients in 2024. By 2026, we will be delivering care across 35 states and to more than 5m patients per year.

We’re looking for a Sr. Manager of Imaging Services to lead and manage imaging operations at multiple clinic locations. This individual will oversee imaging services across multiple modalities (MRI, CT, Xray, Mammography, and Ultrasound), managing a hybrid team of technologists and administrative/clerical staff. An individual who will be successful in this role brings significant leadership experience, deep imaging expertise in at least one modality, and a collaborative mindset. In this role, you will be driving what operational success looks like, so our ideal candidate is resourceful, adaptable, and an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a hybrid team of technologists and administrative staff to deliver high quality imaging services and exceptional patient care.
  • Drive operational excellence across multiple clinic sites, ensuring workflows are optimized, efficient, and patient outcomes are prioritized.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one imaging modality (e.g., MRI, CT, Xray, Mammography, or Ultrasound) to provide clinical guidance and support, while also offering leadership and operational oversight across all imaging modalities as needed.
  • Manage accreditation processes (e.g., ACR, MQSA, or other applicable certifications) to ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Build strong relationships with clinic leadership and staff to foster collaboration and ensure seamless integration of imaging services.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including equipment standards, radiation safety, and staff credentialing.
  • Provide direct supervision to radiology staff, including performance management, hiring, and firing.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to streamline diagnostic services and patient referrals.
  • Oversee vendor selection, inventory management, and supply procurement for the imaging department.

Requirements:

  •  Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, including planning, oversight, and cost optimization for imaging operations.
  •  Hold active credentials in at least one imaging modality (e.g., ARRT, ARDMS, or equivalent), with 5 or more years of experience in clinical imaging specific to their credential.
  •  Have 5 or more years of leadership and management experience in imaging services, preferably including oversight of multisite teams (preferred but not required).
  •  Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience building collaborative relationships in hybrid team environments.
  •  Have a proven track record of mentoring and developing teams, with a focus on operational and clinical excellence.
  •  Be familiar with regulatory requirements and accreditation processes for imaging services.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  •  Be adaptable and action oriented, with a mindset of “no job is too big or too small.”
  • Willingness to travel 25%-50% to other clinics as needed for site support and team management.
