JOB SUMMARY:

Our AI/ML systems play a critical role in optimizingbusiness operations, improving customer experiences, and driving efficiencies across global markets. 

As a Senior AI Operations Lead (Data Science Focus), you will take ownership of enterprise-level AI/ML operational support, proactive performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI-driven systems. You will lead AI reliability efforts, collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, and drive innovation in AI observability, model governance, and operational analytics. Your leadership will shape best practices for scalable AI operations, data integrity, and model lifecycle management. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

AI/ML System Reliability & Performance Management 
• Own the end-to-end operational health of AI/ML models, data pipelines, and analytics workflows in production environments. 
• Develop and enforce AI observability frameworks to monitor model drift, data integrity, and performance anomalies at scale. 
• Define SLA/SLO metrics for AI reliability and implement proactive alerting systems to mitigate risks. 
• Lead efforts to optimize real-time model retraining, automated validation, and continuous deployment processes. 

Incident Response & AI Risk Management:
• Act as the primary escalation point for AI/ML incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution of model and data pipeline failures. 
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and establish systematic prevention strategies to improve long-term AI reliability. 
• Implement AI governance policies to maintain compliance with ethical AI practices, data privacy regulations, and model explainability requirements. 

Collaboration & Leadership: 
• Serve as the AI Operations SME, providing strategic guidance to data science, engineering, and IT teams on best practices for AI model deployment and monitoring. 
• Partner with business stakeholders to align AI performance metrics with operational and revenue goals. 
• Influence MLOps strategy by evaluating and integrating cutting-edge monitoring, automation, and model optimization tools. 

Innovation & Continuous Improvement 
• Drive the development of automated anomaly detection, A/B testing frameworks, and model performance dashboards. 
• Champion AI/ML operational excellence by continuously optimizing AI workflows, reducing manual interventions, and increasing automation. 
• Conduct post-mortem reviews of major AI incidents, documenting learnings and driving process improvements. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML operations, data engineering, or analytics, with a strong focus on scaling production AI systems. 
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana) and AI/ML model monitoring frameworks. 
• Deep understanding of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and cloud-based AI deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure). 
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and automation scripting. 
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive AI/ML operational strategies at scale. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Experience with automated model retraining, feature engineering pipelines, and real-time data processing. 
• Strong knowledge of AI compliance frameworks, bias detection, and ethical AI principles. 
• Prior leadership experience in AI/ML support, model governance, or reliability engineering.
