We’re now looking for an experienced and skilled Machine Learning Engineer to further strengthen the team.

In this position, you will be working on applying machine learning to improve the search and discovery capabilities in our product and drive value for our users. We have already built a number of ML powered applications that are highly appreciated by our users, with examples including intelligent search features such as semantic, and audio-similarity-based search, recommender systems, tagging and previews of music.

You will take a leading role in a team that is solving problems at the core of Epidemic’s products. We are at the beginning of our journey to deliver the very best search experiences for our users. We are agile, user focused and passionate about building a high quality product and, most importantly, we make sure to learn from each other and have a lot of fun on the way!

How you will make an impact

• Building value at the very core of how our users get value from Epidemic.

• From idea to production, your team owns projects and maintains the systems in production.

• Build prototypes, conduct experiments, and operationalize solutions at scale.

• Continue to foster a curious and explorative culture in a collaborative environment.

• Initiate and drive projects to success together with your team.

• Improve technical processes and tooling.

• Coach and mentor team members and staff from other teams.



Who you are

• Computer Science and Machine Learning with results in industry or academia.

• Working as a Machine Learning Engineer in somewhat advanced stages.

• Architecting, developing, deploying and monitoring software systems, preferably in Python.
  
  

Furthermore, it would be music to our ears if you have experience with:

• Building search products.

• Adapting/Fine-tuning foundation models to downstream applications.

• Applying methods from Music Information Retrieval (MIR), especially using modern architectures.
