About you and this role  

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Information Technology Analyst! This position can be located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX.

As the Senior Information Technology Analyst, you will have a key, dual-focus roleYour primary responsibilities will be focusing on technical areas of Power BI to assist in enabling deeper governance, and content lifecycle management processes to enable both our Hub and Spokes at Dow.  The secondary portion of the role is managing Azure Open AI service components (first-level support, service-related inquiries, security assessments, consultation) that enable data teams to build Generative AI solutions at Dow.   

We are looking for someone who has technical Power BI development experience and is looking to develop their Generative AI/ Azure Cloud skills.  She/He must also be a deeply curious problem solver! 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop Content Lifecycle Management Processes to assist with Power BI solution data quality, testing, deployment and versioning, and more.   
  • Develop best practices around Power BI Composite Models, Enterprise-managed Semantic Models. 
  • Assist in developing, supporting, and documenting Gen AI processes. 
  • Consulting/guidance on provisioning infrastructure as code (IaC) for developers to build Gen AI solutions in tools like Azure AI Studio and Azure AI Search. 
  • Act as a primary functional focal point for Generative AI platform. 
  • Collaborate on system design with appropriate internal resources for strategic and security alignment. 
  • Consult, train, and support Dow technical resources using our platform infrastructure to build their own solutions. 
  • Stay abreast of latest news related to Power BI trends both technically and functionally to inform architectural design making. 
  • Act as an analytics evangelist and champion Dow's data and analytics culture change. 
  • Contribute to the maturity of Hub & Spoke. 

Qualifications 

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, or 5 years of relevant experience, or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
