Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. What You’ll Do

The Senior Engineering Manager, New Products will be responsible for leading the development of new products from concept to launch, driving the creation of POCs, MVPs, and GTM strategies, managing the rapid delivery of innovative solutions, and mentoring and building a high-performing engineering team. The candidate being sought should be a creative, self-motivated, highly energetic, results, and detail-oriented individual passionate about cybersecurity, software development, product innovation, and taking new products to market.

  • New Product Introduction: Lead the development of new products from the ground up, taking ideas from concept to successful market launch.

  • Product Development: Partner closely with our Product and GTM teams to build POCs, develop MVPs, and create comprehensive GTM plans to ensure successful product launches within aggressive timelines.

  • Momentum Building: Drive the rapid delivery of innovative products, maintaining momentum and establishing Horizon3.ai as a leader in autonomous security platforms.

  • Team Leadership: Build, hire, manage, motivate, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Transition to Steady State: After a year of incubation, transition new SKUs to a maintenance team for ongoing support and scaling.

  • Strategic Vision: Align product development efforts with the company's long-term goal of launching a credible autonomous security platform by 2026.

What You’ll Bring 

  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams, with a strong track record of building and launching new products in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Highly technical background with expertise in software development, cybersecurity, and B2B SaaS multi-product platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to market, including the development of POCs, MVPs, and GTM strategies.

  • Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management.

  • Creative, self-motivated, highly energetic, detail and results-oriented.

  • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers.

  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving ability.

  • A positive attitude, and a desire to build accessible products for all users.

  • Ability to understand the product, its logs, and troubleshoot errors.

  • Strong technical documentation and communication. 

  • Strong ability to identify procedural gaps, implement engineering best practicies, and streamline and empower the team to build the best new products at a high velocity. 

Required Tech Stack Experience

  • Subject matter expert on platform design and flow 

  • Knowledge or awareness of the following: Multiple Operating systems (Kali, Ubuntu, Windows) 

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and their related services such as AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Databases such as Neo4j and Postgresql 

  • Bash, ruby, Python, and LUA scripting languages 

  • Cyber security related certifications/designations, such as:

    • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)

    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

    • GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)

    • Offensive Security Expert Penetration Tester (OSEP)

  • Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in business administration, commerce, computer science, engineering or related field and significant relevant industry experience.

  • Extensive architectural management experience.

  • Exposure and/or experience with cyber security industry standards and trends.

Travel Required 

We are a fully remote company, and this job may require up to 5% of travel to be successful.

In accordance with various State’s transparency regulations, we provide the following salary range information for this position:

  • Base salary range: $220k-275k annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.

  • Additional compensation: This role may also be eligible for an equity package (in the form of stock options). If any other compensation benefits apply, they will be discussed during the interview process.
