B GARAGE was founded in 2017 by a Ph.D. graduate from Stanford University. After having spent over five years researching robotics, computer vision, aeronautics, and drone autonomy, the founder and team set their minds on building a future where aerial robots would become an integral part of our daily lives without anyone necessarily piloting them. Together, our common goal is to redefine the user experience of drones and to expand the horizon for the use of drones.

Mission of the Role

In the future, drones will be utilized across various industries and become an essential part of our daily lives. Our goal is to change people's perception of drones and expand the horizons of drone applications. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a key player in driving technical excellence. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of robust and scalable hardware for flight controller, ESC and RC. You will leverage your expertise to design and implement robust and reliable systems, ensuring optimal performance of our hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop hardware for Flight Controller, ESC, RC(Radio Control) 

• Develop gimbal board and peripheral components

• Develop mid to long-term strategies for gimbal structure and design

• Performance verification and improvement for Flight Controller, ESC, RC and gimbal

• Support prototype design, design verification, manufacturing, and field issues

• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and software teams

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical, electronics, or related fields

• 10+ years of experience in high performing electrical system design and power electronics

• Experience designing high performing CPU-based and battery-powered applications

• Knowledge and debugging experience for USB/UART/SPI/I2C/CAN/ethernet module interfaces

• Knowledge and debugging experience for GPS/BT/Wi-Fi/RFID/UWB/4G/5G communication interfaces

• Use EDA tools such as OrCAD, Altium, PADS, Allegro

• Intermediate proficiency in English to collaborate with U.S. team

• Self-driven person

Optional Qualifications

• M.S. or higher in electronic/electrical engineering or related fields

• Experience in developing drones or robots

• Experience in robotics, mechatronics, various types of functional modules and signal type integration, and integrated boards

• Experience with Linux firmware and Linux-based systems

• Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes and on-site troubleshooting

• Experience working in a startup
