As we embark on this journey of growth we are officially looking for a Senior Director of Networks AI Products to help lead the way forward. This person will be responsible for a portfolio of AI and emerging technology products and initiatives that will be centred on networks, next-gen experiences and Networks Automation. 

This Senior Director will be a foundation of knowledge in how Optus will apply AI products broadly, using their expertise of both the emerging technologies market and customer trends now and into the future. You will get the opportunity to lead a cross-functional team driving the successful development, launch, and continuous improvement of our products in the space. You will also partner with key groups from across the business and will utilise your innovative background to scale up and propel Optus to the forefront of the segment.

Your day in the life of at Optus

  • Develop a pipeline of products from ideation-incubation and scale along with ensuring the roadmap clearly delivers business and customer value, in line with Optus goals and long term vision.

  • Holistic ownership and prioritisation of AI Products to meet commercial and customer targets. Including planning for all process, people and change activities to meet these outcomes.

  • Drive a thought leadership culture which creates an environment for the development of best-in-class AI powered experiences for Optus customers and employees, all whilst being the torch bearer of this vision.

  • Manage existing AI products and experiences at scale, and optimise to meet customer and commercial benefits for Optus’s overall annual plan

Your skills to pay the bills

  • You have a tried and tested product management and strategy background where you have led impactful product squads in an agile way with expertise in Networks Product management and networks automation.

  • Ideally a Masters Degree or Tertiary Education in Data Science bringing deep understanding of the predictive AI and automation.

  • Core expertise, qualifications or background as a Network Engineer with the likes of Cisco, Juniper and/or Nokia. Allowing you to work optimally and with credibility alongside the Networks team.

  • Demonstrated success in driving product strategy, taking an idea to proof-of-concept and scale, resulting in revenue growth and/or cost-out for your organisation.

  • You bring both strategy and operations experience in leading sophisticated projects from inception to production.
