Opportunity

This role is ideal for postdoctoral researchers or experienced data scientists seeking to apply their skills in computational biology to impactful projects within an innovative, fast-paced biotech environment. Offered on a consultancy basis (inside IR35) for a 12 month contract, this role provides an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge drug discovery efforts.

As a member of the Cross Indication team, you will collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects spanning multiple programme areas, focusing on uncovering actionable insights through the integration of multi-omics data and advanced analytics.

Your responsibilities

• Design, optimise, and perform computational analyses on multi-omics datasets to support target discovery and validation efforts.

• Develop scalable tools and workflows for integrating, analysing, and visualising complex biological data.

• Collaborate with experimental scientists to align computational models with biological hypotheses and experimental workflows.

• Contribute to advancing methodologies for interpreting and integrating single-cell and population-scale data.

• Play a key role in decision-making for target prioritisation and validation.

Professionally, you have

• A PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and computational modelling.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in handling biological data.

• The ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.

Desirable knowledge or experiences

• Experience with single-cell data analysis.

• Familiarity with machine learning techniques in biological contexts.

Additional details

This position is available as a contractor role via Hlx Life Sciences services (inside IR35), remunerated on a daily rate.
