As a Senior Data Scientist Associate in the Data Analytics and Reporting Team, you will serve as a key member of an agile team, tasked with implementing critical technology solutions across a variety of technical areas within different business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives. You will utilize various technologies and tools to support application development and have the opportunity to identify and build automated solutions for various business partners. Our team’s mission is to provide high-quality dashboards & insights that executive leadership will use to monitor KPIs, steer the business, and make investment decisions and you will constantly balance the need for speed with the importance of providing accurate results, to enable leadership to make informed decisions with agility & precision.  

Job responsibilities

  • Write code to enrich and transform data sets to produce output that will help to advance the DART teams objectives and impact to the broader organization.
  • Take a loosely-defined idea or problem statement, find & acquire the relevant data, design & build the dashboards, develop the automated workflows, and document the details.
  • You will also help to develop frameworks to ensure cross-platform data & logic consistency and optimization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Applied Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field of study) or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced web development experience including ReactJS, JAVA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and Relational DB
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), Java, Python and Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency and  Security
  • Understanding of Containerization technologies like Dockers, Kubernetes, ECS
  • Experience with version control systems like Git 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with AWS database services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora and Amazon Redshift, and experience with data migration and ETL processes on AWS

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment
  • Strong hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (Spring Boot or equivalent framework), REACT, Angular.
  • Experience with Message broker platforms or Kafka
  • In depth knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture (AWS developer certification & Experience is a plus), Microservice Architecture and related stacks, and container technologies (Dockers, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with API development and integration
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins or Terraform

This is a Hybrid position which will require the incumbent to commute/work on site 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week and is Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
