As the Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring CBA continues to be a trusted leader in the Responsible use of AI. You are passionate about all things related to Data Science, Gen AI and Machine Learning tools, highly technical and enjoy being fully hands-on with coding in Python and R.

You will be driving projects and outcomes, being heavily focused on design and implementation of Gen AI and ML models, Responsible AI frameworks and model monitoring platform capabilities.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few. We are seeking people who are:

• Passionate about building and validating market leading responsible Gen AI capabilities, practises and models(model monitoring platforms)
• Excited about tackling new challenging business problems in data science by using Generative AI tools responsibly.
• Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical data science models and software coding skills to find unique solutions that add strategic value to the business.
• Collaborative in nature to work alongside software and ML Ops and products teams to assist in deploying data science projects and solutions.
• Curious in solving data problems and courageous in positively influencing stakeholders.
• Able to think creatively and critically solve problems by applying software engineering principles to ensure the safe scaling and implementation of machine learning and Gen AI with human-driven output across the Group.

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them.

• Solid experience in building, deploying and testing of AI, ML and Data Science models using Python and R.
• Expertise in using advanced analytics, data visualization and machine learning techniques on large datasets to solve business challenges.
• Demonstrable skills in developing, monitoring and deploying Gen AI models and setting up Responsible AI frameworks.
• Core background in Advanced Analytics or Visualization, ML, Data Science
