We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Science Engineer to join our Network Observability team. The role will partner with visualization developers and data engineers to focus on data analytics, providing actionable proactive guidance for sustainment of critical network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other core network infrastructure components.  The role will be responsible for identifying and mining network metric/trace/log repositories to create custom analytical tools for IT and Business stakeholders.

Act as a senior member of a Network Data Insights team, providing an influential voice to drive strategic guidance to engineering and operations teams globally. Be an energetic, approachable initiative-taker who is passionate about data and data mining. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the organization's network infrastructure through proactive monitoring, analysis, and optimization. Maintain a robust network monitoring system that captures and analyses network traffic, device performance.

As a Data Scientist, proficiency in AI Natural language processing and graphing, statistical analysis, programming, and domain knowledge to extract insights from data.   Aspects of the role will be contributing to full-stack development, creating functional and visually appealing websites and applications. Proficient in programming languages, databases, and web server technologies.

Qualification and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or similar data science focus is preferred.

  • Familiarity with key components and best practices of Observability.

  • Strong engineering or operations experience with the components of a large global network infrastructure such as Routers, switches, LAN/SD-WAN, Firewalls, etc.

  • Familiarity with network monitoring, reporting, and observability tools such as:        Logic Monitor, Thousand Eyes, Moogsoft, Dynatrace, NetBrain, Elastic.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, Nobl9.

  • Strong experience in building actionable dashboards in any of the BI Platforms.

  • Experience in writing SQL queries to understand or build dashboards.

  • Proficiency in AI Natural language processing and graphing

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.

  • Passionate about data and good data evangelist.
