Job Location: Mumbai and Grade:7 Job Title: Researcher - Neuroscience Lab (Focus on Non-Conscious Decision-Making, Microsaccades, and Eye-Tracking) Type: Full-Time About Us: We are excited to announce the establishment of a new, cutting-edge neuroscience laboratory at Fractal Analytics, dedicated to exploring the mysteries of the human brain so as to power every human decision. Our primary focus is on understanding the non-conscious processes that influence decision-making, with a special emphasis on studying microsaccades. Through innovative research and experimentation, we aim to illuminate the underlying mechanisms of the brain that operate beyond conscious awareness. Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including advanced eye-tracking systems, to delve into these non-conscious processes. As part of our founding team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the research direction and establishing protocols that will drive our discoveries forward. Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher with a passion for neuroscience and a curiosity for unravelling the complexities of the human brain to solve some of the most significant human behaviour problems in business and society. This role will involve working with eye-tracking modalities, such as the SR EYELINK® 1000 PLUS EYE TRACKER, to investigate how the brain processes information and makes decisions without conscious awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience or related fields, coupled with hands-on experience in eyetracking technology, specifically focusing on microsaccades and other eye movements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and conduct research projects focused on non-conscious decision-making, with a special emphasis on studying microsaccades and other eye movements using advanced eyetracking technology. • Develop and refine experimental protocols to utilize eye-tracking modalities in innovative ways, pushing the boundaries of traditional neuroscience research. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate eye-tracking data with other neuroimaging techniques and behavioral analyses. • Analyze and interpret complex data sets, generating insights into the significance of microsaccades and non-conscious eye movements in decision-making processes. • Prepare and present research findings at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. • Mentor and support junior researchers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment. Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related field. • 1-2 years of postdoctoral or equivalent research experience, with a focus on neuroscience, eye-tracking methodologies, and the study of microsaccades or non-conscious eye movements. • Proficiency in using eye-tracking equipment, specifically the SR EYELINK® 1000 PLUS EYE TRACKER, across various research applications. • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation, particularly related to eye movement studies. • Demonstrated ability to develop new experimental protocols and adapt existing methodologies. • A track record of published research in peer-reviewed journals. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team. • A creative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to explore new research avenues and challenge conventional approaches. What We Offer: • The opportunity to be part of a pioneering team at the forefront of neuroscience research. • Access to state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology. • A dynamic and inspiring work environment that encourages innovation and creativity. • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. • Competitive salary and benefits package. Join us in uncovering the hidden mechanisms of the mind and making groundbreaking discoveries in the study of non-conscious decision-making. Your journey into the non-conscious starts here
