Role: Senior Data Scientist - Senior Consultant

Location: Sydney/ Melbourne

Open for Permanent or 12 months Fixed Term contract.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Utilize Python for data analysis, model development, and implementation.
• Apply deep learning techniques for advanced predictive analytics and insights.
• Implement ML Ops best practices to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient deployment of machine learning models.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure performance and accuracy over time.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and visualize findings to communicate results effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and ML Ops to continuously improve processes and models.
• Document methodologies, processes, and model performance for transparency and reproducibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with ML Ops tools and frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of deep learning architectures and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their machine learning services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services, telco or retail domains.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications. - Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Tableau, Power BI).
