Senior Architect – AI/ML & HPC

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead the architecture and design of scalable AI/ML solutions and HPC systems. You’ll be responsible for driving the innovation and development of advanced systems, guiding technical teams to implement robust and efficient solutions. You’ll collaborate with various teams across the organization to integrate AI/ML capabilities into broader systems and ensure the architecture aligns with business objectives. In addition, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering teams, staying at the forefront of emerging technologies in AI/ML and HPC to recommend the best tools and strategies for the organization’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design scalable AI/ML solutions and HPC systems.
  • Lead the deployment of robust AI/ML models and HPC applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML and HPC into broader systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI/ML and HPC technologies and drive innovation.
  • Develop best practices for AI/ML and HPC implementation.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek has extensive experience in leading the design and implementation of AI/ML and HPC systems. You should have a deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), algorithms, and HPC architectures, with a proven track record in deploying large-scale solutions. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as you’ll be guiding technical teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives. We expect you to stay current on emerging technologies and be able to innovate and drive strategic architectural decisions. You must be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and lead problem-solving efforts for challenging projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical architecture with a focus on AI/ML and HPC.
  • Expertise in AI/ML algorithms, frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and HPC architectures.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying large-scale HPC systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on Azure.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Terraform and other IaC tools for automated infrastructure management.
  • Hands-on extensive experience with Azure services, including networking, security, and compute.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Proven track record of leading cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization.

The salary range for this role in Canada is $125,328 CAD - $153,630 CAD
