The team
We are forming a dynamic team within our newly established GTM function at Hitachi Digital. This team will drive innovation, combining Hitachi’s domain expertise in operational technology (OT) with cutting-edge AI technologies.

The role

  • Provide software and hardware technical expertise for customer solution architecting, act as a technology bridge between Front Business Units (Ex. Hitachi Rail and Hitachi Energy) and Digital Business Units (Global Logic) to drive complex solution sales.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand the customer’s technical needs and requirements. Analyze existing IT solutions from applications to infrastructure, assess existing solution performance and identify opportuities for improvement. Utilize consultative techniques to drive more solution sales resulting in access to opportunities with larger revenues
  • Develop and propose innovative and cost-effective technology solutions tailored to the specific needs of the customers. Perform technical presentations (i.e., product specification presentations and product value discussions). Coordinate PoCs and solution demonstration. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that the proposed solutions align with the customer's budget and overall business objectives
  • Support the deal team prepare persuasive proposals, presentations, and technical documents to convey the benefits of the proposed solutions to customers. Provide technical responses to customer requests for information. Translate customer requirements into technical solutions. Coach the sales teams to present these solutions to decision-makers and stakeholder
  • Stay current with advancements in your specialized field of technologies, protocols, and any regulatory measures. Act as a subject matter expert on your specialized field of technical solutions and provide technical guidance to internal teams

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting pre-sales within digital transformation, IoT, IT/OT convergence, AI, cloud computing, big data analytics, and related emerging technology solution sales, preferably selling into energy/ utilities/ railway sectors
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies
  • Hands-on experience with IT operations and capable of handling proof-of-concepts (“POC”) as needed
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry vertical solutions
  • Has a strong and proven track record of working with partners and alliances
  • Strong communication skills; fluency in English language both written and oral
  • Proficient in enterprise applications
  • Ability to develop and deliver well-structured presentations (incl. whiteboarding) with information appropriate for the desired audience
  • Experience and certifications with the leading hyperscalers including Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Knowledge of the NVIDIA platform
