As our Senior AI Engineer, you'll be at the heart of this transformation, shaping the future of AI at OHAI. Your expertise in building applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI will be crucial in bringing our visionary solutions to life, delivering groundbreaking healthcare applications that will set new standards across the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams or external vendors to collect and curate high-quality data for training and testing AI models.
  • Rapidly develop AI-based prototypes and demos to showcase solutions and ideas to stakeholders, incorporating their feedback into future development iterations.
  • Define and implement sophisticated evaluation metrics to measure and analyze model performance.
  • Run experiments and optimize models through hyperparameter tuning to achieve peak performance.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including error analysis and ablation studies, to enhance model development and data quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports with evidence-based insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure successful and timely model delivery and service integration.
  • Develop innovative healthcare and enterprise services by leveraging the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Participate actively in project planning, review, and retrospective sessions.
  • Write production-grade code, advocate for best coding practices, and conduct peer reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience designing and deploying scalable AI models for production environments, with a successful track record of applying AI in real-world applications. Experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in full-stack development of generative AI models, from data preparation to model deployment, ensuring end-to-end AI system functionality.
  • Practical experience with emerging LLM frameworks and plugins such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores, Retrievers, LLM Cache, LLMOps (MLFlow), LMQL, and Guidance, showcasing your ability to stay at the forefront of AI technology.
  • Proven experience in designing data collection and annotation solutions, as well as systematic evaluation processes crucial for developing and maintaining high-quality production systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate AI solutions into broader systems and deliver impactful results.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing, scaling, and monitoring AI systems in production environments, ensuring models meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain and experience in delivering AI models specifically for healthcare applications are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in computer vision and multimodal modeling is a valuable plus.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX development is a plus, helping to bridge the gap between AI models and end-user applications, ensuring AI solutions are user-friendly and deliver excellent user experiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
