About the role

We are currently looking for an AI Business Analyst to join our data science team. Reporting to the manager responsible for the implementation and structuring of various initiatives at Intact's Data Lab, you will work closely with other business analysts, experts from different fields, and all the Data Lab teams.

At the Data Lab, teams carry out software development projects based on artificial intelligence (AI) on behalf of various business lines. All teams have a roadmap of projects to be completed.

In this context, your mission as a Senior AI business analyst will be to:


What you’ll do here:

  • Assist leadership with orchestrating AI governance and steering committees  

  • Assist leadership with documenting, executing, and following up on action items 

  • Assist Technical Leads by documenting AI Governance and Risk and Compliance assessments 

  • Execute ad hoc strategic assignments and research initiatives  

  • Research and curate industry and AI technology trends, competitive benchmarks 

  • Assist in identifying and establishing strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders to foster collaborative research and innovation opportunities 

  • Organize and structure the documentation and results of various collaborations with academia and the industry 

  • Facilitate working sessions with experts from different fields and various project stakeholders 

  • Synthesize content and produce engaging presentations  

What you bring to the table:

  • University degree in a related field or relevant experience  

  • 5 years experience working in R&D, product management, or risk & compliance within the AI sector or a related field 

  • Knowledge in software development management (SDLC) and AI product development is an asset 

  • Knowledge of AI Governance, Risk Management and Compliance is an asset  

  • Knowledge of the insurance domain and business processes are significant assets  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Comfortable interfacing with senior leaders 

  • Self-driven and proactive, comfortable working autonomously 

  • Highly empathetic, inclusive and team player 

  • Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
