What You Will Do

  • As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the face of Simbian for prospective clients. Working alongside our executive and sales team, you’ll take ownership of the technical relationship through the sales cycle.
  • You will leverage your professional network and experience to help identify opportunities where Simbian can help solve challenges for new clients
  • You will be expected to build and grow relationships with our clients as they onboard into Simbian, expand their use, and provide feedback to our Product Management team.
  • You will be a trusted advisor by providing technical expertise in your interactions with current and prospective clients, answering technical questions, demonstrating capabilities, and laying out both the current and future vision of Simbian at the company.
  • You will be working closely with teams and individuals in sales, leadership, marketing, support, customer success, and engineering, guiding deals through the sales pipeline and reporting back to leadership and product management on trends in your region.
  • You will also play an integral part in defining and executing on our go-to-market strategy – advising on new use cases, integrations, partnerships, etc. – as a fast-growing company, you will be an integral part of what we build and deliver as Simbian.

  • You have a strong passion for serving your clients as your top priority, combined with well-rounded technical, analytical, and sales skills.
  • You have flexibility and ability to work in a fast-moving, highly distributed company across global time-zones.

What You'll Need

  • Fluency and ability to have technical conversations in both Japanese and English
  • A general knowledge and experience with the use of one or more generative AI systems (such as OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Co-Pilot, etc.) is required. The more broad your experience in this domain, the better.
  • Experience working hand-in-hand with clients with a consultative approach to their cybersecurity challenges, helping guide them to new technologies and processes they may have not considered previously.
  • Experience in selling to one or more of security operations, log management, application security, or security compliance is required. The more broad your experience, the better.
  • Experience and proven capability in selling nascent technology into newly formed markets, including being resourceful in helping the client identify opportunities where cost savings can create budget.
