Position Overview:

As a Runbook Subject Matter Expert (SME) at DeepSource Technologies, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining runbooks that document operational procedures for our systems and services. Your expertise will guide our teams in improving operational efficiency, ensuring consistent execution of tasks, and minimizing the risk of service disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive runbooks for operational processes across various platforms and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and support, to gather information and insights for effective runbook creation.
• Analyze and review existing documentation to identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement in operational processes.
• Design and implement best practices for runbook management, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
• Conduct training sessions for team members to ensure proper understanding and utilization of runbooks.
• Continuously assess and refine operational practices to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and improve service reliability.
• Engage in incident response activities, utilizing runbooks to facilitate rapid resolution of service issues.
• Monitor industry trends and organizational changes to keep the runbook content aligned with evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or related roles, with a focus on documentation and process management.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining runbooks or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with documentation tools and platforms, such as Confluence, Notion, or similar.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
