A Corp Lab in NTU is looking for a motivated Research Scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in the topic of “Green Cloud Computing”, who will lead groundbreaking research in applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance the design, operation, and optimization of data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage research focused on developing and applying LLMs for data center lifecycle management, including design, operation, and optimization;

  • Prototype and validate LLM-driven solutions for improving energy efficiency, predictive maintenance, and operational excellence in data centers;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industry partners, to translate research insights into practical applications and deployable technologies;

  • Publish high-quality research papers in top-tier journals and present findings at leading international conferences;

  • Supervise and mentor junior researchers, PhD students, and interns in the development of LLM-based models for data center optimization;

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data center technologies, and incorporate them into research projects.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on AI/ML or data center technologies;

  • Proven experience in conducting high-impact research in AI, particularly in the application of LLMs or other advanced ML techniques;

  • Strong publication record in reputable journals and conferences related to AI, ML, and data center operations;

  • Demonstrated expertise in data center design, operation, energy optimization, or sustainability is highly desirable;

  • Experience in leading research teams and managing complex research projects;

  • Excellent programming skills, with proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant AI/ML frameworks;

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical applications;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings to both academic and industry audiences.
