Research Assistants in Computer Vision
Our research group, supported by Google funding, is looking for highly motivated candidates to join a range of Computer Vision projects. Our work spans across key areas of the field, including visual segmentation, recognition, explainable vision models, and the optimization of models for deployment on resource-constrained and battery-limited devices. Beyond technical advancements, our research plays an important role in strengthening Vietnam’s broader AI ecosystem. By developing lightweight, scalable, and cost-effective Computer Vision solutions, we aim to accelerate innovation in vital sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and education — all crucial drivers of the country’s social and economic growth.
Who should apply?
We welcome candidates for both part-time and full-time positions, particularly those with:
- Strong mathematical and programming skills.
- Solid background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.
- Keen interest in technical writing, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply.
- Being the first author of a paper at a major Computer Vision / AI conference is a strong advantage.
- Experience with model optimization techniques, such as model quantization and neural architecture search, is a plus.
- Experience in additional fields beyond Computer Vision, such as Speech or Audio Processing, is also a plus, as some of our projects involve cross-domain research challenges.
- Enthusiasm for commercializing research outcomes and driving real-world impact.
