Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Release Engineer. Senior. Developing tooling, extend automation, and create software release procedures to enable safe agile release cycles. Taking ownership for the design and development of core interfaces, applications, APIs and services. Designing and implementing tools and pipelines that help automate release processes. Facilitating the development, testing and deployment process in scrum teams, from design to deployment. Managing and facilitating engineering and release plans, execution, and workflows. Collaborating with other teams to influence and shape an agile culture across our group. Gathering and presenting products operational metrics in terms of execution, agility, efficacy, and productivity. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG1180]

Required Qualification:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Python, Git, Docker, Linux, Shell Scripting, SQL, Apache Maven, SonarQube, Grafana, Prometheus, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $122970 - $168100/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
